1.1. Hypermobility Project Pty Ltd (Hypermobility Project) operates an online education and professional development platform. It delivers, evidence-informed content exclusively for clinicians on the assessment and management of hypermobility and related conditions.
1.2. Hypermobility Project’s programs (Hypermobility Project Program) may include structured learning modules, recorded materials, live Zoom/online sessions, printable resources and optional group or 1:1 coaching, designed specifically for medical and allied health professionals, such as physiotherapists, general practitioners, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, and others working with hypermobile clients.
1.3. Other than as a set out in the following paragraph, participation in the Hypermobility Project Program is open only to qualified health professionals. Participants may be asked to confirm their professional status or scope of practice to ensure the program is appropriate for their needs. Hypermobility Project reserves the right to decline registration if a participant's background is not aligned with the program’s intended audience.
1.4. Some other practitioners, including personal trainers, fitness instructors (including Pilates instructors) and the like, may professionally benefit from aspects of Hypermobility Project’s programs. If you are not a qualified health professional but you believe that Hypermobility Project may be able to assist you in the service you provide to your clients, then please let us know and we can enroll you in the particular units that may be of assistance.
1.5. This program is not a clinical service. It does not offer physiotherapy treatment, individual health assessments, medical diagnosis, or personalised care. It is not suitable for members of the general public or individuals seeking health advice or treatment for themselves, their relatives or friends.
1.6. Hypermobility Project aims to provide high-quality, evidence-informed education by combining current research with Sharon Hennessey’s extensive clinical experience. The goal is to support health professionals in enhancing their understanding, confidence, and competence in managing clients with complex hypermobility presentations.
1.7. While all reasonable efforts have been made to ensure that the content provided through Hypermobility Project is accurate, current, and based on best available evidence, to the extent permitted by law, Sharon Hennessey, Hypermobility Project, and Not Just Bendy Pty Ltd or any of their partners/directors, contractors or employees are not liable for the actions or decisions of program participants in their own clinical practice, including any loss, harm or damage suffered by a participant or a third party.
1.8. All clinical decisions made by participants, including the implementation of any educational content, remain the sole responsibility of the individual practitioner and must be undertaken in accordance with their own professional judgment, qualifications, and regulatory obligations. This includes where any particular medications that have been prescribed to a patient may result in a need to adjust the care provided.
1.9. Any care provided by participants to a patient/client must be in accordance with those obligations, including any obligation to hold professional indemnity insurance. Any care provided must be within the appropriate scope of practice of the participant. Hypermobility Project does not provide or extend any clinical or legal cover to participants.
1.10. Hypermobility Project acknowledges that some medical and allied health professionals participating in the program may also have personal lived experience with hypermobility or related conditions. While this insight can add valuable perspective to their professional learning, Hypermobility Project does not provide personal health advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations to any participant, regardless of their professional background or health status.
1.11. The program is strictly educational and non-clinical. Participants are encouraged to consult their own treating health professionals for personal care decisions. Program facilitators will not respond to personal medical inquiries or provide opinions about an individual’s specific health situation. If you require individual care or treatment, you are obliged to engage with your own treating practitioners.
1.12. Hypermobility Project is generally unable to provide personalised referrals to specific clinicians, specialists, or services. Where appropriate, we may provide general advice or refer participants to publicly available directories, such as professional association listings, specialist databases, or reputable online tools to assist with locating appropriate care, but any such recommendation or referral is at our sole discretion.
1.13. At this time, Hypermobility Project does not accept registrations from participants located in the United States of America.
2.1. Hypermobility Project is an online professional development program delivered through a combination of live Zoom sessions, pre-recorded modules, and optional practical learning activities. The program may include structured modules covering clinical topics related to the assessment and management of hypermobility and its associated conditions. The number of modules and the total program length may vary depending on the specific intake or course offering.
2.2. Programs are delivered in a group learning format, with a focus on education, discussion, and clinical reasoning relevant to the participant’s professional role. While participation is open to a range of medical and allied health professionals, the program content is standardised across all participants within each intake.
2.3. Some components of the program may involve independent learning activities, such as reviewing videos, completing workbooks, or applying concepts within a participant's clinical setting. These activities are not supervised, and it is the responsibility of each participant to assess the suitability of applying any techniques within their own scope of practice and regulatory framework. Participants are encouraged to use clinical judgment and consult relevant guidelines before applying any content.
2.4. Programs may also include practical components, such as breathing exercises, movement-based sessions, and discussions of trauma, pain, or psychological topics. These are intended to teach techniques to participants that they can use in their practice, and support professional understanding. Participants are encouraged to modify or opt out of any session that feels unsuitable for their health, safety, or well-being.
2.5. The program may involve guided participation. In some circumstances, exercises of this nature can pose a risk to participants who live with particular conditions. It is the responsibility of each participant to determine whether they are physically and emotionally fit to engage in such activities. Participants are encouraged to modify or opt out of any session that feels unsuitable for their health, safety, or well-being.
2.6. Online content (including recordings, handouts, and supplementary resources) will be made available via a secure online portal or shared platform. Access may be time-limited depending on the structure of the specific program.
2.7. Participants are responsible for maintaining confidentiality and security of their login credentials and must not share those credentials with others, or otherwise permit or facilitate access to online content with persons outside of the program except with our express written consent.
2.8. Hypermobility Project may offer optional private 1:1 coaching sessions or group coaching calls as part of selected programs. Where included, these sessions are designed to facilitate professional reflection, case discussion, or clinical reasoning. These are non-clinical conversations and are intended for educational purposes only. Fees may apply for private coaching and will be clearly outlined prior to booking. Participation in coaching is entirely voluntary and subject to availability.
2.9. The core educational content of each program is consistent for all group participants. If additional support is offered in the form of private coaching, such services are considered separate to the group program. Hypermobility Project will provide clear guidance regarding availability, duration, scheduling, and fees for any such sessions.
2.10. Participants are reminded that no individual health advice will be provided, even during private coaching, and that any questions must remain within the boundaries of their professional development.
2.11. Each Hypermobility Project program or masterclass will include specific eligibility criteria, outlining which types of health professionals are best suited to attend based on the content, level of complexity, and professional scope. Some programs may require completion of a prerequisite course or foundational module before participation in more advanced content is permitted.
2.12. Experienced health professionals who believe they meet the learning outcomes of a prerequisite program may submit an individual application to request exemption from the prerequisite requirement. These requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Hypermobility Project and must be supported by evidence of equivalent knowledge or clinical experience.
3.1. Hypermobility Project is operated by Sharon Hennessey, a registered physiotherapist. Not Just Bendy Hypermobility Services is a separate business entity that provides health services (including physiotherapy, exercise physiology, and group exercise classes) to individual clients and members of the general public.
3.2. While Sharon Hennessey is a registered physiotherapist, participation in the Hypermobility Project Program does not constitute the provision of clinical physiotherapy services.
3.3. Hypermobility Project is an educational and coaching platform for qualified medical and allied health professionals. It does not provide clinical or health services to the general public.
3.4. By enrolling in the Hypermobility Project Program, participants acknowledge that they are undertaking a professional development/coaching program. The content includes discussion of methods for the assessment and management of clients with hypermobility, based on Sharon Hennessey’s clinical experience and evidence-informed care principles.
3.5. Any suggestions made through the program (by Sharon Hennessey or her representatives) are for educational purposes only. The ultimate responsibility for assessment, treatment decisions, and client management rests solely with the enrolled participant and their professional discretion. Neither Hypermobility Project, Not Just Bendy Hypermobility Services, Sharon Hennessey, nor any of her representatives accept liability for clinical decisions made by participants in relation to their own clients.
3.6. To avoid any potential conflicts of interest or dual relationships, any individual who is currently a physiotherapy client of Sharon Hennessey at Not Just Bendy Hypermobility Services is not eligible to enroll in the Hypermobility Project Program during the course of their treatment.
3.7. Similarly, any participant in the Hypermobility Project Program will not be accepted as a physiotherapy client of Sharon Hennessey at Not Just Bendy Hypermobility Services for a minimum of six months following completion of the program, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
3.8. Any requests for crossover between treatment and program participation—whether seeking to become a client after participation in the Hypermobility Project, or enrolling in the Project as a current or recent client—will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Decisions will be made at the sole discretion of Sharon Hennessey, taking into account the nature of the professional relationship, treatment goals, and ethical considerations.
3.9. If, during participation in the Hypermobility Project Program, issues arise that, in Sharon Hennessey's professional opinion, fall outside the scope of the educational relationship, the participant may be advised to consult their general practitioner or an appropriate treating clinician.
3.10. Sharon Hennessey reserves the right to terminate a participant’s registration in the Hypermobility Project Program at any time if, in her sole discretion, she deems it appropriate to do so due to ethical, professional, or boundary considerations. In such cases, a partial refund of the program fee may be considered.
3.11. Participants in the Hypermobility Project Program may access clinical services (such as physiotherapy, exercise physiology, or allied health consultations) from other practitioners at Not Just Bendy Hypermobility Services, provided that the treating practitioner is not involved in , delivery, or facilitation of the Hypermobility Project Program.
3.12. These therapeutic relationships will remain separate from any educational interaction with the Project, and all clinical treatment will follow standard professional boundaries, confidentiality obligations, and ethical care standards.
4.1. As part of your participation in the Hypermobility Project Program, Hypermobility Project needs to collect and record information from you.
4.2. We enclose a copy of our Privacy Policy, which we request you read and acknowledge your understanding of, prior to signing this document.
4.3. Also enclosed is a copy of our:
4.3.1. Participant Information Sheet; and
4.3.2. Waiver.
5.1. Hypermobility Project is delivered online via our website portal and videoconferencing platforms. Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary equipment, internet connection, and setup required to access course materials and participate in live or recorded sessions.
5.2. To fully engage with the Hypermobility Project content, participants will need:
5.2.1. A reliable internet connection.
5.2.2. A device capable of accessing Zoom (or similar videoconferencing platform), including a functioning microphone and speaker.
5.2.3. A screen at least the size of an iPad or tablet, to ensure visual clarity of slides and instructional materials.
5.2.4. A quiet, private space for participating in any practical components — ideally one that allows you to move between standing, sitting, and lying down positions.
5.2.5. Occasionally, additional items may be required such as a sturdy chair, access to a wall, light weights, or a resistance band (TheraBand). Participants will be notified in advance of any required items.
5.3. Please note that while reasonable efforts are made to protect the security of online communications, all internet-based platforms carry inherent risks. The privacy of any form of communication via the internet is potentially vulnerable and may be limited by the security of the technology used.
6.1. The Hypermobility Project website, the Hypermobility Project Program, and all associated content — including but not limited to written materials, videos, slides, handouts, exercise programs, visual and auditory content, software tools, and interactive modules — are the intellectual property of Sharon Hennessey and Hypermobility Project, and/or Not Just Bendy Pty Ltd as trustee for the NJB Trust, unless otherwise specified.
6.2. All intellectual property rights, including copyright and moral rights, in these materials are protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. Unauthorised reproduction, modification, sharing, redistribution, or commercial use of all or part of any content from the Hypermobility Project website or program is strictly prohibited, unless express written consent has been obtained from Sharon Hennessey.
6.3. Certain resources may be provided for participants to use with their own clients as part of their professional practice. These resources:
6.3.1. Are to be used solely by the registered participant,
6.3.2. Must be used only with clients under the participant's direct care, and
6.3.3. May only be used within the timeframe and context defined by the specific program’s access terms.
6.4. These resources must not be copied, altered, rebranded, or shared with others (including colleagues or other professionals), whether in part or in full, without explicit written permission from Sharon Hennessey.
6.5. Some materials provided within Hypermobility Project have been licensed for use by Not Just Bendy Hypermobility Services and are included in the Project program with permission. These materials remain the intellectual property of Not Just Bendy Pty Ltd or Sharon Hennessey and are protected accordingly. They are included for educational use only and may not be duplicated or disseminated outside the context of the Hypermobility Project Program. These materials may only be used for the time period specified in the course agreement and by the participant in the Hypermobility Project Program.
6.6. By purchasing access to the Hypermobility Project Program, participants receive a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the program materials for their personal professional development and clinical practice with their clients (as outlined above). This license does not grant ownership of any content.
6.7. All logos, branding, and trademarks associated with Hypermobility Project, Not Just Bendy Hypermobility Services, and Sharon Hennessey are the exclusive property of their respective owners and are protected under intellectual property law.
6.8. Participants are not permitted to use, reproduce, or display any logos, names, business identities, or other registered or unregistered trademarks for personal promotion, advertising, co-branding, or any other purpose without prior written consent from Sharon Hennessey or an authorised representative. This includes but is not limited to use on websites, social media, professional profiles, presentations, printed material, or clinical tools.
6.9. Any breach of these conditions may result in (among other things) termination of access to the program, revocation of any license granted, and potential legal action.
7.1. Fees will be collected for participating in Hypermobility Project Programs.
8.1. Participants may request a full refund of the program registration fee up to 14 days prior to the scheduled commencement of the Hypermobility Project Program. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] (or designated contact) within this timeframe.
8.2. Requests for refunds for cancellations made less than 14 days but more than 72 hours prior to the program start date will only be granted at the sole discretion of Sharon Hennessey, unless required by law. In general, we will seek to provide refunds to most participants who cancel up to 72 hours prior to the commencement of the course, although this may not be possible for courses with limited availability where late cancellations will prevent another person from participating in the course.
8.3. Once the program has commenced, refunds (full or partial) will be granted only at the sole discretion of Sharon Hennessey. Refunds after program commencement, including where a participant’s registration has been terminated as a result of a breach of these terms and conditions, will typically only occur in exceptional circumstances.
8.4. For programs that include 1:1 private coaching sessions, participants may cancel or reschedule a session with a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to the scheduled time. Cancelled sessions must be rebooked within the active period of the participant’s program (e.g., within 12 weeks of commencement). Expired or unused 1:1 sessions are non-refundable and will not be carried over.
8.5. No refunds will be provided for missed live sessions, inability to attend group coaching calls, or non-use of provided resources. Participants are encouraged to make full use of all available program content, including recordings or alternate formats, where available.
8.6. Hypermobility Project reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any session, program, or event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, technical failure, or minimum participant requirements not being met). In such cases, participants will be offered an alternative date or a refund, at the discretion of Hypermobility Project.
8.7. Other than in exceptional circumstances (and at our sole discretion), no refunds will be granted once access has been provided to recordings or downloadable resources, regardless of whether the participant has accessed or used the material.
