The Hypermobility Project exists to shift the standard of care for people with hypermobility in Australia - and globally.
A lack of education, uncertainty around treatment, and limited resources mean too many people go years without answers.
Despite how common it is, hypermobility still often remains misunderstood, overlooked, or dismissed. The average time to diagnosis in Australia is still 10–15 years.
This work goes beyond education - it’s about changing the story:
Moving hypermobility beyond its narrow unknown box, into the awareness of every clinician.
Empowering healthcare professionals to provide earlier, more confident, and more compassionate care.
Reducing diagnostic delay to under 3 years through practical education, research, and collaboration.
The Hypermobility Project is here to transform how healthcare professionals worldwide understand, recognise and treat hypermobility.
